We spoke about it with Raimon van Faassen (Product & Supply Chain Manager) and Martin Kruitbosch (Logistics Manager).

“Fast delivery is important to our customers,” Raimon begins, “but speed without reliability and accuracy has no value. It’s all about the combination.” That’s why at PENDLR we work with a solid, well-structured supply chain process. Smart forecasting, close collaboration with suppliers and real-time inventory insights ensure we stay in control of availability. “We want our dealers not to have to think about delivery times,” Raimon explains. “If a customer places an order before 18:30, we ship it the same day. That’s what we commit to every single day. And it works. Thanks to strong processes, continuous monitoring and a team that thinks in solutions, we can move quickly, even when the market shifts.”
Innovation that enables speed: AutoStore
A major step in our logistics development was the implementation of AutoStore in 2023. “With AutoStore, we can store more compactly, pick faster and minimize errors,” Martin explains. “This results in higher processing speed, greater order capacity and consistent quality. With more than 23,000 products from 160 different brands, that’s absolutely essential. And we continue to innovate by constantly looking for improvements in our logistics processes.”
What does this mean for dealers? Shorter lead times, reliable deliveries and the assurance that every order is processed carefully and efficiently.
Sustainable shipping: smarter packing, less air
Fast and reliable delivery doesn’t mean we lose sight of sustainability. On the contrary. We look every day for ways to do things smarter. “In addition to AutoStore, we’ve developed a system that calculates the most efficient box size for each order,” Martin explains. “This allows customers to place multiple orders throughout the day. Our system automatically combines those orders. As soon as the total order value exceeds 75 euros and the customer qualifies for free shipping, we take action.”
“This way, we use our capacity more efficiently earlier in the day and ship fewer packages and less empty space,” Raimon adds. “That results in a more sustainable order process, without the customer having to think about it.”
From Kruitbosch to PENDLR: 70 years of reliable strength
Last year marked a special milestone: Kruitbosch celebrated its 70th anniversary. For Martin Kruitbosch, that makes it even more meaningful. “My family is at the foundation of the company. It’s great to see how our logistics operations have evolved over the years, from manual processes to a fully automated system. In the past, everything was done by hand: orders came in handwritten, bike parts were stored alphabetically on shelves, and trucks were unloaded manually. Today, we work with advanced logistics technology. And yet, the core has remained the same: a deal is a deal.”
